In this article we will see how to set up the authentication of your domain name.

What you will need:

Systeme.io account
Domain Name address

Case number 1: you send emails with Systeme.io

Step #01 : Contact systeme.io technical support

Please contact Technical Support by sending this information: Your domain name and the name of the platform that provided you with the domain name ( OVH, Cloudflare,...etc) so that the support team can do the manipulation for you, and they will give you a list of CNAME records to integrate into your domain name host.
Once you have this list, go to step 02 on the help page.

Step #02: on your domain name account

These CNAME records must be added to your platform

Edit the DNS zone of your domain name " if you can't find how to do this, please contact your host's support to show you the steps to follow "

We will put an example with OVH

Login to your OVH account by clicking here

1. Once connected, click on "**Domains**" and then click on your domain name (see figure 01)



2. Click on "**ZONE DNS**" then click on "**Add an entry**" (see figures 02 and 03)



3. Choisissez l'option " CNAME " ensuite cliquez " Suivant " (voir figure 04 et 05)



You will have form fields to fill in

4. Return to the list of CNAME records that the support has given you



The support has given you a list of 3 CNAME each CNAME contains a "host" and a "value". :



5. In the field "**subdomain**" put what is written in "**HOST**" but not the whole sentence just the numbers and letters that are put next to your domain name in this example: em5808



6. Then copy the entire line put in "**VALUE**" and put it in "**CIBLE**" and add a dot". "at the end of the sentence



The team has given you 3 CNAME records, you must do the operation 3 times once for each record

7. Click on "**Next**" then click on "**validate**" ( see figure 07)



8. Then check your CNAME if they are well configured on this site: DNS check



9. Once the configuration of the 3 CNAMES records is done, contact the.io system support again so that they can check your domain name

Case number 2: you are using your own Sendgrid account
Please follow all the steps below.

Step #01: on the sendgrid.com account

1. Login to your sendgrid account by clicking here](https://app.sendgrid.com/login) (see figure 01)



2. Click on "**SETTINGS**" then click on "**Authentication Sender**" (see Figures 02 and 03)



3. Click on "**autenticate your email**" (see figure 04)



4. Click on "**DNS HOST**" to select your platform that provides you with your domain name, if your platform is not listed choose the option "**other host not listed**" then type the name of your platform (see figure 05)

5. Then click on "**NEXT**". (see figure 06)



6. Insert your domain name in "**FROM DOMAIN**" then click "**NEXT**" (see figures 07 and 08)



Sendgrid will give you a list of CNAME recordings



Step #02: on your domain name account

These CNAME records must be added to your platform

Edit the DNS zone of your domain name " _if you can't find how to do this, please contact your host's support " ".

We will put an example with OVH

Log in to your OVH account[by clicking here](https://www.ovh.com/auth/?action=gotomanager&from=https://www.ovh.com/fr/&ovhSubsidiary=fr)

1. Once connected, click on "**Domains**" and then click on your domain name (see figure 09)


2. Click on "**ZONE DNS**" then click on "**Add an entry**" (see figures 10 and 11)



3. Choose the option "**CNAME**" then click "**Next**" (see Figures 12 and 13)



You will have form fields to fill in

4. Return to the list of CNAME records that sendgrid has generated for you in case you use the sendgrid system account. io Technical Support will give you this list

Sendgrid generated this list for us:

7. Click on "**Next**" then click on "**validate**" ( see figure 14)



8. Once the configuration of the 3 CNAMES records is done, go back to your sendgrid account or contact us if you use ours

9. Then check your CNAME if they are well configured on this site: DNS check



10. Check the box "**I've added the records**" then click "**Verify**" (see figures 15 and 16)
