How to offer Klarna payments in systeme.io

In this article, you will learn how to activate Klarna payments for your funnels.

Klarna is a flexible payment method that allows customers to choose how they want to pay at checkout. Depending on their eligibility and location, customers can pay immediately, pay later, split payments into installments, or choose long-term financing plans. This provides customers with more flexibility, particularly in markets where Klarna is widely used, such as Germany and the Netherlands.

To get started, you will need:

1. Setup process

You can activate Klarna payments in systeme.io via Stripe. To enable this feature, ensure you have configured the following settings:

a. Enable Klarna

On your Stripe dashboard, click on Settings (1).

Then click Payments (2).

Then click Payment methods (3).

Scroll down to Klarna and enable it by clicking Disabled (4), then Enable (5).

b. Ensure the selected currency on your funnel is supported by Klarna

Available currencies depend on your business location:

  • For vendors in the United States, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand: Only the local currency is supported (USD, CAD, AUD, NZD).
  • For vendors in Europe, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, and Norway: Multi-currency options are supported (EUR, GBP, DKK, NOK, SEK, CZK, PLN, RON, CHF).

2. Activating Klarna in your funnel

Once Klarna is enabled in your Stripe account and you are using a supported currency, the Klarna option will automatically appear in your funnel settings.

To offer Klarna on your payment pages, go to your funnel and click Settings (1).

Check the Klarna (Stripe) box (2), and click Save (3).

Klarna will now appear as an option on your order form!

Note: The "Country" field is required for Klarna payments to work properly. This field is part of the billing information collected at checkout (similar to "First Name" or "Last Name"). Ensure this field is enabled and mandatory, as Klarna uses it to determine customer eligibility and process payments successfully. (How to add a form input field)
