How automation rules work

This page will teach you how to use automation rules in systeme.io.

The automation rules allow you to automate your online business, to do this click on the "Automations" tab, then on "Rules" (number 1 in the image).
Click on "Add a rule" to create a new automation rule (number 2 in the image).

Trigger:

The trigger will be activated when an event of your choice occurs.
Click on the "More +" button next to the trigger to choose a trigger (number 3 in the image).
You will have a list of triggers, choose an option according to your needs.
E.g. Ask yourself: to whom should I send these emails?
1. To the prospects registered on my squeeze/form/popup page, choose the option: Funnel step form subscribed and choose the title of your page (number 4 in the image)
2. To customers who have purchased my product: choose the option: New sale (number 5 in the image)
3. To contacts who will have a specific tag: choose the option:  Tag added (number 6 in the image)
Note: the tag must be added to the contacts after the rule is set up

Actions:

Actions are events in systeme.io that occur after a trigger is activated.

Click on the "More +" button next to "Action" (number 7 in the image).
You have the possibility to add several actions:
Example: send an email after a prospect has registered on a form on your page.

Important: you also have the possibility to create automation rules directly in the sales funnel:

Please note that each contact can only activate the same trigger a maximum of 20 times. After the 20th time that trigger has been activated, automation rules and workflows won't be activated for that contact in systeme.io.
