How to integrate GoCardless with systeme.io
In this article, you will learn how to connect your GoCardless account to systeme.io.
You will need:
- A systeme.io account
- A GoCardless account (click here to create a GoCardless account)
To connect your systeme.io account to your GoCardless account, click on your profile picture and then Settings (1). Next, in the menu on the left side of your page, click Payment Gateways (2).


You will be redirected to a page that allows you to log in to your GoCardless account or to create one if you do not already have an account.
If you don't have an account, enter your basic details and create a password to sign up.

Next, a form will appear asking for your company name, work phone number, country of establishment, and business type. This provides the necessary information to activate payments via systeme.io.

After filling in the forms, activate the GoCardless payment method in your sales funnel settings by clicking the GoCardless checkbox.

Note: You must include the email field in your form, or the payment gateway cannot process the transaction.
What happens when a GoCardless payment fails?
Our system will make three attempts to collect the payment. The time between each attempt depends on the customer's bank. However, you can reduce the number of direct debits for each currency and change the direct debit delay in your GoCardless account settings, and our system will handle the attempts based on your configuration.
