How to automate the sending of an email series (campaign)

In this article, you will learn how to automate the sending of an email series using campaigns.

What you will need:

Creating an automation rule

On the menu bar, click on "Automations", and then on "Rules" (number 1 in the image).

Click on "Create" to add a new automation rule (number 2 in the image).

Adding a trigger to initiate the automation

A trigger is an event that will initiate the automation when it occurs.
Click on the " + " button next to the "Trigger" section (number 3 in the image).

From the list of triggers, choose an option according to your needs.
Ask yourself the question: Who do I want to send these emails to?
1. To send it to prospects who register through your squeeze page/form/popup, choose  "Funnel step form subscribed", and then select your page's title (number 4 in the image).

2. To send it to customers who have just purchased your product, choose "New Sale" (number 5 in the image).

3. To send it to contacts who have a specific tag, choose "Tag Added" (number 6 in the image).

Note: The tag must be added to the contacts after the rule has been set.
Adding an action to subscribe to a campaign
Click on the " + " button next to "Action" (number 7 in the image).

Choose the "Subscribe to campaign" action (number 8 in the image).

Select your campaign's title (number 9 in the image), then click on "Save Rule" at the top right to save (number 10 in the image).
