How to add a checkbox
In this article, you will learn how to add a checkbox.
To get started, you will need:
- a systeme.io account
- a page in edit mode
Adding a checkbox
In the page editor, drag the "Checkbox" element from the panel on the left, and drop it onto your page.
After the element has been added, click on the text and start typing to modify it.
In the element settings, you can also:
- change the message displayed if the box is not checked
- choose whether the checkbox is mandatory or optional on your form
- add an automation rule to be applied when the box is checked
When adding an automation rule to the checkbox, you can choose from the list of actions below:
Notes:
- When a page has a checkbox configured as mandatory, and the form button's action is set to "Submit form", the user won't be able to move on to the next step unless they check the checkbox.
- The ability to add an automation rule to a checkbox is only available for opt-in pages.
