How to trigger a popup from a text link (on systeme.io or external sites)
This article shows you how to open a popup when a visitor clicks a text link.
You will need:
- A systeme.io account
- An active popup
1) Trigger a popup from text on a systeme.io page:
Highlight the text you want to use as the trigger, then click the link icon (1).
Select Popup (2).
Choose the popup you want to display (3) and click the Save icon (4).
2) Trigger a popup from a text link on an external website:
Step 1: Open your funnel and click Add Step (5).
Select Popup Form (6) and choose a template.
Click the Edit page icon (7) to customize your popup.
Step 2: Once your popup is ready, you need to get its link:
Click Create a link (9) to generate the specific HTML code for your popup.
Note: You can also copy the full script (8) or embedded form (10), but for a text link, you only need 'Create a link' (9)
Step 3: On your external website, paste the HTML code you just generated between the <body> tags. When a visitor clicks this text, the popup will appear.
