How to add shipping fees to your physical products
In this article, you will learn how to add shipping fees to the sale of your physical products.
Set shipping fee parameters :
To enable shipping fees, click on your profile picture, go to the "Settings" section (number 1 in the image), then click on "Shipping Settings" (number 2 in the image)
Check the box for "Enable shipping settings" to start creating a delivery service. (number 3 in the image)
By default, you will see the areas "Domestic" and "International."
You can create delivery services such as local mail, DHL, UPS, etc. Just click on "Create shipping service". (number 4 in the image)
A popup will appear where you need to enter the name of the shipping service and click on "Save" to confirm. (number 5 in the image)
You can define delivery zones by choosing from the default ones or create custom zones to include specific countries by clicking on "Create shipping zone" (number 6 in the image)
A popup will appear to create a new zone, where you need to choose the shipping zone and the countries. Then, click on "Save" to validate the creation of the new zone. (number 7 in the image)
Finally, set the shipping rules for your physical products by clicking on "Create shipping rule". (number 8 in the image)
A popup will appear where you need to enter the name, currency, price, description, and rule conditions.
When creating a shipping rule, you have the option to create rules using flat prices or based on weight, the value of the order and the quantity:
1. Based on item weight :
You need to set a minimum weight, maximum weight, and a specific price for your rule.
2. Based on order price:
You must set a minimum, maximum price for the order and a specific price for your rule.
3. Based on quantity:
You must choose the minimum, maximum quantity and a specific price for your rule.
After filling out the delivery rule creation form, you must click on "Save". (number 9 in the image)
Finally, you will automatically see the delivery area you created, along with the details of the delivery rule.
Adding Shipping Fees on the order form:
When adding physical products to an order form, you must include the item "Shipping Fees" by adding it at the level of your page editor.
This will automatically display the applicable shipping rules based on the product specifications, allowing the customer to choose from the existing shipping services.
Important: to disable shipping fees for a certain physical product, simply check the box "Disable shipping fees for this product" at the product settings level.
