In this article, you will learn how to add a video to a page.
You will need:
- A systeme.io account
- A page
- A video on your computer or a video hosting site (YouTube, Vimeo, or others...)
Go to the page editor and drag the Video element onto your page (1). Then, click the Video settings icon (2) to configure the video element.
The video settings will appear on the left panel (3).
You have 3 options to insert a video:
- Direct link (e.g., YouTube, Vimeo)
- Custom embed (using HTML/JS code)
- Upload file (for a file stored on your computer)
For your video to work properly, 2 important parameters need to be configured:
1. Autoplay: Choose On to have the video start automatically, or Off to wait for the visitor to click play.
2. Controls: Choose On to let users start, pause, adjust the volume, enable subtitles, or go full-screen. Choose Off to hide these controls.
Important: When using the Upload file option, you can also add a thumbnail image. This image will cover the video player until the visitor hits play.
Note: When adding a thumbnail, we recommend using an image with the same dimensions as your video.
