How to manage your newsletters and email campaigns with the systeme.io MCP server
In this article, you will learn how to manage your systeme.io newsletters and email campaigns using natural language through our native MCP server. By connecting an AI tool like ChatGPT or Claude, you can create, update, and organize your newsletters seamlessly without leaving your chat window.
What you will need:
- A systeme.io account
- An MCP key generated from your systeme.io account (How to use the systeme.io MCP server (Model Context Protocol))
- An AI tool connected to your systeme.io account using MCP keys:
Once your AI tool is connected to the systeme.io MCP server, you can manage your newsletters using simple, natural language prompts.
1. Managing newsletters
The MCP server allows you to perform basic actions on your newsletters directly from the chat. Just provide the required details and specify the action you want to perform.
a. Create a newsletter: You can ask the AI to generate a new newsletter draft in seconds. The integration supports creating newsletters using both the Classic Editor and the Visual Editor.
Example: Create a new newsletter in English about our upcoming Summer Sale using the visual editor. Mention that the sale starts on August 15, offers up to 40% off, and include a “Shop Now” button.

b. Update a newsletter: If you need to change a newsletter's details, you can instruct the AI to easily update the subject line, preview text, or the email content itself.
Example: Update the subject line of the summer sale newsletter to "Don't miss our summer discounts!".

c. List and retrieve newsletters: You can use the AI to browse your existing newsletters or fetch specific ones without manually searching your dashboard.
Example: List my 5 most recent newsletters.

Or find the newsletter with the subject line "Welcome to our community!".

2. Managing email campaigns
The MCP server also allows you to build and manage your email campaigns and the individual emails (campaign steps) inside them directly from the chat.
a. Create a campaign and campaign steps: You can ask the AI to generate a brand-new email campaign and add individual emails (campaign steps) to it.
Example: Create the “Summer welcome sequence” campaign with a first email titled “Welcome to the summer club!” using the Classic Editor. Make it clean and simple: a welcome headline, 3–4 short friendly lines

b. Update a campaign or campaign step: If you need to change a campaign's name or modify the subject line, preview text, or content of a specific campaign step, you can easily instruct the AI to make those updates.
Example: Update the first step of my "Summer welcome sequence" campaign to include a 10% discount code in the email content.

c. List and retrieve campaigns: You can use the AI to browse your existing email campaigns, view the specific steps inside them, or fetch a specific campaign by name.
Example: List all my existing email campaigns, and show me the steps inside the "Summer welcome cequence" campaign.

d. Delete a campaign or campaign step: You can instruct the AI to delete entire campaigns or specific campaign steps that you no longer need.
Example: Delete the campaign step with the subject line "Welcome to the summer club!".

Notes:
- Sender details: Newsletters created via MCP will automatically use the default sender name and sender email address configured in your systeme.io account settings. These values cannot currently be changed via MCP.
- Deletions: It is not currently possible to delete newsletters using MCP tools. However, you can delete campaigns and campaign steps.
- Campaign scheduling: Scheduling and activating campaign steps is not yet supported through MCP and must be managed manually from your systeme.io dashboard.
- The AI will require confirmation prompts depending on the platform you use (for example, ChatGPT may ask for permission to run the action before creating or updating a newsletter).
