How to connect your GoDaddy subdomain to systeme.io | systeme.io Help Center

On this page, you will learn how to add DNS records to GoDaddy to connect your subdomain. You will be able to add your subdomain (subdomain.domain.com) to systeme.io to use it as a custom subdomain in your sales funnels and blogs, which is essential for your branding.

What you will need:

A systeme.io account
A domain name purchased from GoDaddy

Important: Please follow the first step of this article before following the instructions on this page.

After adding the subdomain in systeme.io, log in to your GoDaddy account to access your DNS settings.

Note 1: each subdomain added to systeme.io has its own CNAME records to integrate into the hosting site.

Example:

In this example, we will connect the subdomain example.sio-team.live to systeme.io

First, hover over your profile picture, click Settings, then go to Custom Domains and add your custom domain.

First CNAME:

Go to DNS
Click the DNS Records tab for your domain.
Click Add New Record.
Select CNAME from the Type menu.
Enter example in the Name field.
Enter d3g8jlanso19g3.cloudfront.net. in the Value field.
Click Save.

Note: if a CNAME record with the name example already exists, edit its value to d3g8jlanso19g3.cloudfront.net.

Second CNAME:

Follow the same process described above to add a new CNAME record.
In the Name fpaste the text string that appears before your domain name (e.g.,_1b533156220627db6b35d60d4ba57904.example).
In the Value field, add _2a03a89e91e0245b3f302cef3a82b1b5.xlfgrmvvlj.acm-validations.aws.
Click Save.

Once the two CNAME records are properly added to your host, you can check their status using the following tool: https://dnschecker.org

Note: To check your records, you must enter the full CNAME name (including your domain name) into the search bar.

You should see the same value you added next to a green checkmark, as displayed in the example below. If not, the records have not been added correctly, and you need to review your DNS zone:

Notes:
It can take up to 24–48 hours for DNS records to propagate completely.
Sometimes, your host may not be able to register a CNAME record due to a conflict with other existing DNS records. This usually happens when adding the first CNAME. If this occurs, contact your host support to determine if those existing records are necessary or if they can be safely deleted.
