How to connect your GoDaddy subdomain to systeme.io

On this page, you will learn how to add DNS records to GoDaddy to connect your subdomain. You will be able to add your subdomain (subdomain.domain.com) to systeme.io to use it as a custom subdomain in your sales funnels and blogs, which can be useful for your business.

What you will need:

  • a systeme.io account
  • a domain name purchased from GoDaddy
Important: Please follow the first step of this article before following the instructions on this page.

After adding the subdomain in systeme.io, you need to see the DNS settings in your GoDaddy account

Note 1: each subdomain added to systeme.io has its own CNAME records to integrate into the hosting site.

Example:

In this example, we will connect the subdomain example.sio-team.live to systeme.io

You will then need to log in to your systeme.io account and click on your profile picture, then go to "Custom Domains" and add your subdomain.

INSTRUCTIONS :

First CNAME :

  • Go to "DNS"
  • Click on the "DNS record" tab of your domain name.
  • Click on "Add new record".
  • Select the type "CNAME".
  • Enter "example" in the "Name" field.
  • Enter "d3g8jlanso19g3.cloudfront.net." in the "Value" field.
  • Finally, click on the button "Save" to save.

Note: if a CNAME record with the name "example" already exists, edit its value to "d3g8jlanso19g3.cloudfront.net."

Second CNAME:

  • Follow the same process described above to add a new CNAME record
  • In the "Name" field, copy and paste everything that comes before the domain name, so in our case "_1b533156220627db6b35d60d4ba57904.example".
  • In the "Value" field, add "_2a03a89e91e0245b3f302cef3a82b1b5.xlfgrmvvlj.acm-validations.aws."
  • Click on the "Save" button to save

Once the two CNAME records are properly added to your host, you can check their status using the following tool:
You should see the same value you added next to a green checkmark, as displayed in the example below. If not, the records have not been added correctly, and you need to review your DNS zone:

CNAME verification 01 :

CNAME verification 02 :

Note 2: It can take up to 2448 hours for DNS records to propagate completely.

Note 3: Sometimes, your host may not be able to register a CNAME record due to a conflict with other existing DNS records. This usually happens when adding the first CNAME.

At that point, you need to contact your host to understand the importance of these existing DNS records and to give you the green light for their deletion.
