How to create a coupon code and insert it into your order form

In this article, you will learn how to create a coupon and insert it into your order form (payment page).

You will need:

1. Creating a coupon:

Navigate to the "Products" tab (number 1 in the image), then click on "Coupons" (number 2 in the image).

Click on "Create" (number 3 in the image), and in the popup that appears, provide:

  • A promo code name (number 4 in the image)
  • A promo code that the customer must enter to benefit from the discount (number 5 in the image)
  • Choose one of the available discount types (number 6 in the image)
  • The amount of the discount you wish to offer (number 7 in the image)
  • An expiry date for your promo code (number 8 in the image)
  • The maximum number of users who can use this coupon (number 9 in the image)

Finally, once you've filled in the information about your coupon, simply click "Save" to confirm. (number 10 in the image).

What is the difference between the two discount types?

  • Fixed amount discount: This is the value that will be discounted from the price plan. (For example: Price plan = $1,000; coupon value = $20; what the customer pays = $980)
  • Percentage discount: This type of coupon will discount a percentage of the total price. (For example: Price plan = $1,000; coupon value = 10%, what the customer pays = $900)

Notes:

1. Discounts for subscriptions or payment plans are applied on the payment due date each month. Example: If the subscription is $100 / month and the coupon discount value is $20, the customer will pay $80 / month.

2. You can offer your customers a full discount by applying the full amount of the discount for a fixed amount, or by applying 100% of the discount amount for a percentage discount type.

3. It is essential to use the calendar for your coupon code to work. If you type in the date manually, the coupon code will not work.

4. If you wish to allow an unlimited number of uses for your coupon, please leave the box blank.

5. By choosing the "Fixed amount discount" type, a new "Coupon currency" field will appear, where you must select the currency of the amount for which you wish to offer a discount.

2. Inserting the coupon into the sales funnel:

After creating your funnel and payment page, click on the order form (number 10 in the image).

Scroll down to the "Coupons" section and click on the "(+)" button (number 11 in the image).

Select the type of discount, then choose one of the available coupon codes. Finally, click on "Save" to save the coupon to your payment page.

Click on "Edit page" to access your page editor (number 12 in the image).

Once in the editor, select the "Coupon" element and drag it into your page (number 13 in the image).

Click on "Save" to apply the changes (image 14 in the image).
