How to create and add a coupon code to your order form
In this article, you will learn how to create a coupon and insert it into your order form (payment page).
You will need:
- A systeme.io account
- A sales funnel (How to create a sales funnel)
- An order form (How to create an order form)
1. Creating a coupon:
Go to the Assets tab and click Coupons (1).
Click on Create (2).
In the popup window, enter the following details:
- Coupon name: A promo code name (3)
- Coupon code: A promo code that the customer must enter to benefit from the discount (4)
- Discount type: A fixed amount or a percentage discount (5)
- Discount amount: The amount of the discount you wish to offer (6)
- Expiration: An expiration date for your promo code (7)
- Limit of use: The maximum number of users who can use this coupon (8)
Once you have entered the coupon details, click Save (9).
What is the difference between the two discount types?
- Fixed amount discount: A specific amount deducted from the price plan.
(Example: Price plan = $1,000; coupon value = $20. Customer pays: $980)
- Percentage discount: This type of coupon will discount a percentage of the total price.
(Example: Price plan = $1,000; coupon value = 10%. Customer pays = $900)
Notes:
1. Discounts for subscriptions or payment plans are applied on the payment due date each month. Example: If the subscription is $100 / month and the coupon discount value is $20, the customer will pay $80 / month.
2. To offer a full discount (free), set the fixed amount equal to the price, or set the percentage discount to 100%.
3. You must select the expiration date using the calendar popup. If you type the date manually, the coupon will not work.
4. To allow unlimited uses, leave the limit box blank.
- By choosing the Fixed amount discount type, a new Coupon currency field will appear, where you must select the currency of the amount for which you wish to offer a discount.
2. Inserting the coupon into the sales funnel:
After creating your funnel and payment page, click on the order form.
Scroll down to the Coupons section and click the plus (+) icon (10).
Select the discount type and choose a coupon code. Click Save (11).
You'll see the coupon in the settings of your order form/payment page.

Next, click Edit page (12) to open the editor.
Drag the Coupon element (13) onto your page. Click Save (14) to apply your changes.
