In this article, you will learn how to create a tag.
Why use tags?
Tags are a feature that can be used to identify and better manage contacts by organizing them into categories. Depending on their origin and status, different tags may be assigned to them (e.g., contacts, customers, students, campaign).
For example, you can assign the tag "Client-course-1" to customers who have purchased course 1.
Creating a tag

Click on Create (2), enter a name for your tag in the Tag name field (3), then click Save (4).

Other ways to create tags
You can also create a new tag directly within automation rules. Simply enter the name of the tag you want to create and use in the automation rule, and it will be created automatically.

Understanding tag statistics
On the main Tags dashboard, you can view performance metrics for each of your tags. The dashboard displays:
- The number of contacts added (Today, Yesterday, Total) (1).
- The number of removed contacts (2).
- The total sales generated by the contacts carrying that specific tag, and sales per each conact (3).

Note: The amounts displayed in the Sales and Sales per contact columns are calculated including taxes. This ensures your financial data is fully aligned and consistent with the revenue figures shown on your main contacts and transactions pages.
