How to connect your Infomaniak subdomain to systeme.io

On this page, you will learn how to add DNS records to Infomaniak to connect your subdomain. This will allow you to add your subdomain (subdomain.domain.com) to systeme.io to use it as a custom subdomain for your sales funnels and blogs, which can enhance your branding.

What you will need:

  • a systeme.io account
  • a subdomain purchased from Infomaniak

Important: Please follow the first step of this article before completing this one.

After adding the subdomain to systeme.io, you need to check the DNS settings on your Infomaniak account.

Note 1: Each subdomain added to systeme.io has its own CNAME records to integrate into the hosting site.

Example:

In this example, we will connect the subdomain example.sio-test.com to systeme.io

You will then need to log in to your systeme.io account, click on your profile picture, go to "Custom Domains" and add your subdomain.

INSTRUCTIONS:

First CNAME:

  • Go to "DNS zone" of your domain name, then click on "Add a record".

  • Select the type "CNAME" from the different types available.

  • Add "example" in the "Source" box, then add "d15zkq46nz2lc2.cloudfront.net." in the "Target" box and click on "Save".

Second CNAME :

  • Go to the "DNS zone" of your domain name.
  • Click on "Add a record" >> Select the type "CNAME" >> add in the box "Source" everything that is before the domain name, which in our case is "_386f0cf15ad8a1aae5d01547b374b5d8.example" >> then add "_e1aa1ce627758238f11032c63a935a9c.zfyfvmchrl.acm-validations.aws." in the box "Target" and click on "Save".

Once the two CNAMEs have been correctly added to your host, you can check their functionality on the following site:
All indicators should be green, as in the example below. Otherwise, the entries were not made correctly, so you'll need to review your DNS.

CNAME verification 01 :

CNAME verification 02 :

Note 2: It can sometimes take 24 to 48 hours for DNS records to fully propagate.

Note 3: It sometimes happens that your host cannot register your CNAME due to a conflict with other DNS records. This usually occurs when adding the first CNAME.

At that point, you need to contact your host to understand the importance of these DNS and to give you the green light for their removal.
