How to configure your blog's post list page

In this article, you will learn how to configure your blog's Post list page, including how to customize its style, layout, and the information displayed for each post.

Accessing the blog's post list page

Go to the Blogs on the Sites tab (1), then click on your blog's name (2).

In your blog's menu, click Pages (3) to review the list of blog pages. Locate the page titled Post list page, click on the three dots (...), and click on Edit (4).

In the page editor, you will notice the following page elements in the panel on the left, under the "Blog" section:

  1. Category title: 

This element is dynamically replaced by the title of the specific category being viewed.

  1. Category description: 

This element is dynamically replaced by the description of the specific category being viewed.

  1. Blog post listing:

This element displays a list of your posts. The following information is shown for each post:

  • The post's category
  • The post's title
  • The post's publication date
  • The post's short description

These details are pulled from the values you entered when creating the post.

Customizing the blog post listing

From the settings panel on the left, or by clicking on the blog post listing element, you can modify the following options:

  • Blog post listing:
    • The number of posts per page
    • The vertical spacing
  • Post listing settings:
    • Select the post listing layout of your choice
  • Post card settings:
    • Blog post image position
    • Background colors, shadow, style, and padding
  • Image:
    • Shadows, corner radius, and margin
  • Title, description, and categories:
    • Font size, type, style, and color
    • Alignment, letter spacing, and the margin

Customizing the post date visibility

To toggle the post date visibility, check or uncheck the 'Show date?' box in the Date section.

Customizing pagination

Pagination Pagination allows visitors to navigate through your blog when the number of posts exceeds the limit per page.

To help visitors know which page they are currently on, you can customize the colors for active and inactive pages.

  1. Latest blog posts

You can add the "Latest blog posts" element to display the most recently published posts.

From the settings panel on the left, or by clicking on the latest blog posts element, you can modify the following options:

  • Latest blog posts:
    • Number of posts to display
    • Vertical space
    • Horizontal display
  • Image:
    • Shadows, corner radius, and the margin
  • Title, description, and categories:
    • Font size, type, style, and color
    • Alignment, letter spacing, and the margin

You can also choose whether to display the date on the latest blog posts.

You can also display your latest posts in a carousel format using the 'Latest blog posts carousel' element.
