How to configure your blog's post list page

In this article, you will learn how to configure your blog's "Post list page" to customize its style, layout, and what information to display about blog posts.

Accessing the blog's post list page

Navigate to the "Blogs" tab (number 1 in the image), then click on the title of the blog you want to customize (number 2 in the image).

In your blog's menu, click on "Pages" to display the list of blog pages (number 3 in the image). Locate the page titled "Post list page", hover your mouse over the 3 dots (...), and click on "Edit" (number 4 in the image).

In the page editor, you will notice the following page elements in the panel on the left, under the "Blog" section:

1. Category title: This element will be replaced automatically by the title of each category in the page related to this one.

2. Category description: This element will be replaced automatically by the description of each category in the page related to this one.

3. Blog post listing: This element will be replaced by a list of your posts, where the following information will be displayed for each:

  • The post's category
  • The post's title
  • The post's publication date
  • The post's short description

These refer to the values you entered when creating your posts.

Customizing the blog post listing

From the settings panel on the left, or by clicking on the blog post listing element, you can modify the following options:

  • Number of posts per page
  • Horizontal space
  • Display horizontally
  • Vertical space
  • Number of posts per row
  • Category

Customizing the post date visibility

To toggle whether the post's date is displayed or not, you can check or uncheck the "Show date?" checkbox under the "Date" section.

Customizing pagination

Pagination is used to navigate between post listing pages when the number of posts exceeds the number of posts to display per page.

To help visitors know which page they are currently on, you can customize the active and inactive page colors.

Displaying the latest blog posts

You can add the "Latest blog posts" element to display the most recently published posts.

Customizing the number of posts per page

You can also configure the number of posts per page to be displayed per page, as well as their layout (vertically or horizontally), or select a specific category.

Latest blog post carousel

You can choose to show the latest posts as a carousel using the "Latest blog posts carousel" element, which is similar to the "Latest blog posts" element.
